About Me...

I am a junior at the University of Arizona, currently double majoring in Philosophy and English. Originally, I am from Las Vegas, Nevada where I lived until I moved to Tucson, Arizona to begin my collegiate studies.

At present, I serve as a Student-Body Senator for the Associated Students of the University of Arizona. As a sophomore, I held the position of Special Events Chair for the University Activities Board, where I programmed social justice and political themed events for the campus at-large. I was also the musician for a popular improvisational comedy troupe on campus aptly named the Charles Darwin Experience. During the Fall 2008 semester I interned for the Arizona Students' Association, which serves as the student voice to the university's administration, the Arizona Board of Regents and the Arizona State Legistature. Also, I am a proud member of the Honors College. It seems like a lot, but I am very dedicated to helping others and doing everything in my power to make a difference in my community any way I can.

In the future, I wish to pursue a J.D./M.B.A., a law degree and masters in business administration, and practice criminal law. As of now, I plan on going into politics, but of course that is always subject to change.

 As a Student-Body Senator:

I have utilized the resources at my disposable to the best of my ability. I have created a Peer Mentorship program geared towards aiding new, struggling, and exploratory students find their academic and social niches on campus. See more information at peers.asua.arizona.edu. Additionally, I have launched a progressive marketing campaign called "I Dare You Arizona." This campaign is targeted at cutting through the apathy students hold in relation to the many things that happen on campus which directly impact their collegiate experience. As an Arizona Students' Association Intern:

I was a head student organizer for the UAVotes2008 campaign that registered over 4,000 students to vote. I personally wrote and directed a grassroots promotional video that was a spoof on the celebrity public service announcement saying, in a facetious manner, "Don't Vote." See below for a link to the video.
